We have thousands of pallets of the same SKU. These palletized loads are big and light. Our pallets set in the rack for days not hours and therefore we didn’t need the efficiency of pushback rack. We needed a high density, low cost storage rack that could maximize our storage space. After doing some research we found that drive-in racking fit the bill. Drive in racking reduced the number of aisles required with our old pallet rack system. The drive in rack system increased our storage density by up to 75%. It allowed us to stay in our current facility and reduced the need of expansion.
