Steel shelving serves a variety of purposes in our facility. We’re able to store maintenance items, supplies, pharmaceuticals and archive boxes. We needed a durable shelving unit that could hold heavier loads. That’s why we chose steel pharmaceutical shelving. Steel shelving has solid steel shelves and hold up to heavy loads. 

We had a situation where we were getting damage to the lower shelf from people standing on it. While it is our policy to never allow employees to step on shelves it would still happen. We increased the strength and rigidity of the bottom shelf to withstand the abuse. We also added backs and sides to our heavy duty steel shelving to help reduce dust and debris from accumulating on the shelf.
