Available in 24″ and 36″ repair heights, the S-Series uses a heavy 3″ x 3″ structural steel replacement column with a 1-5/8″ backer for additional rigidity in an area that takes a lot of abuse.
The teardrop-style hole pattern is designed for compatibility with common rack configurations and allows compatible existing beams to be reinstalled at the repaired section. A heavy 4″ x 12″ x .315″ footplate provides the new connection at the floor. The two repair heights also provide flexibility for rack configurations with different lower beam elevations and different amounts of column damage.

The XS kit uses 1/4″ thick steel with a 6″ high repair section, a 12″ V-nose deflector, and a 4″ x 12″ x 5/16″ footplate. The V-nose is a particularly useful feature because it helps deflect future forklift or pallet-jack contact away from the repaired column. Its safety-yellow powder-coat finish also makes the protected area easier for lift-truck operators to see.
Another advantage is the bolt-on design. The system is intended to simplify field installation without requiring the same replacement process as changing an entire upright frame. It is designed for applicable rack frames where the lower strut and damage location are compatible with the 6″ repair. Standard designs are intended for compatible 3″ column faces and common teardrop rack configurations, with custom sizes available for other applications. Fit should always be verified before ordering or drilling. Modifying an existing structural rack column simply to accommodate a protector should not be done without approval from the rack manufacturer or a qualified rack engineer. Protectors are a smart preventive measure, but they don’t increase the published capacity of the pallet rack or make an already damaged upright acceptable for continued service.
