Selling your used pallet racking is a fantastic way to boost your business. It gives you a chance to invest in new products and grow your operation. Sometimes, the savings from buying new racks instead of used ones might not be huge. That’s because used pallet rack shelving comes with its own set of costs, like disassembly, freight, handling, and resale. Plus, if you can’t find it near you, those extra freight costs could eat up some of the savings.

But don’t worry, there are still ways to save money on used pallet rack shelving! It just takes a bit of searching and maybe a little flexibility. You’ll find that the biggest savings come from the beams. The cost difference between new and used uprights isn’t too much, but used beams can really save you money—up to $10.00 per beam!

I can tell you that when you’re buying in large quantities, rack factories often lower their prices to make room, so it might be tough to find significant savings on used pallet rack shelving. Smaller quantities are where you’ll see the most savings.

When you’re looking for used pallet rack, you’ll quickly notice that there are lots of different brands, shapes, sizes, and capacities. If you’re open to different sizes, brands, and colors, you can find some great deals. For example, if you can use a 92″, 98″, 102″, or 134″ Speedrack beam in yellow, you’re in luck. If you can use a 19′ x 38″ Keystone upright or an 8′ x 36″ Ridg-U-Rak upright, you’ll have plenty to choose from. But if you need a lot of 96″ x 5″ teardrop beams in orange and 20′ x 42″ teardrop uprights, you might have a harder time finding them.

Let’s chat about the condition of the racks. Everyone has different standards for what’s okay, and some buyers are more discerning than others. When you’re looking at used racks, you might see scratches, blemishes, light rust spots, and sometimes even stickers. But don’t worry, we also have used racks in great shape, almost like new!
