Triple-Stack Forklift Battery Storage Rack System
The Triple-Stack Forklift Battery Storage Rack System provides a heavy-duty, space-efficient solution for storing, charging and exchanging industrial forklift batteries. Designed with three vertical storage levels, these battery rack systems allow warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants and other high-volume forklift operations to take advantage of valuable vertical space while keeping batteries organized and readily accessible for change-outs. The triple-stack configuration is particularly well suited for larger electric forklift fleets and battery rooms where maximizing battery storage capacity within a limited floor area is important.
Each triple-stack battery rack is constructed with a rugged welded steel frame designed for demanding industrial battery-room environments. A durable powder-coat finish helps resist scratches and corrosion, while welded system feet provide secure anchoring to the floor. Battery compartments incorporate a slight rearward pitch to help retain batteries in position, and a flip-up battery safety stop is provided at each compartment. These features help create a stable storage location for heavy industrial batteries while maintaining convenient access during battery exchanges.
Battery compartments are equipped with six spark-resistant, poly-sleeved rollers per compartment, allowing heavy forklift batteries to move smoothly into and out of the rack during side-extraction battery changes. The poly-sleeved roller design also helps reduce corrosive buildup associated with battery-room environments. Hitch-pin-secured roller axles simplify roller maintenance and replacement. Standard compartments are 40″ deep, with auxiliary backstops available for applications requiring reduced compartment depths and extended-depth configurations available for larger batteries.
A wide selection of configurations makes the Triple-Stack Forklift Battery Storage Rack System adaptable to different battery fleets. Standard models are available with roller compartment widths ranging from 15″ through 48″, with frame widths ranging from approximately 38″ to 109″, depending on the selected configuration. Integrated charger connector mounting holes, charger anchoring slots and charger cable routing holes help organize the battery charging area and protect charging cables from unnecessary wear. Custom configurations can also be engineered around specific battery dimensions, quantities and battery-changing requirements.
Numerous options allow the triple-stack system to be configured for a complete battery storage and charging operation. Available equipment includes catwalks, access ladders, end and rear safety rails, stainless steel drip pans, polyethylene lead rollers, rubber battery backstops, sliding battery connector kits, charger mounting systems and extended-depth battery compartments. Extended roller compartments are available in 46″, 48″ and 50″ depths. When combined with compatible multi-level battery extraction equipment, the Triple-Stack Forklift Battery Storage Rack System provides an efficient way to organize battery storage, charging and exchange while making productive use of vertical battery-room space.
