Parallel Reel Payout Trailers – PRP-TRL

Parallel Reel Payout Trailers (PRP-TRL) provide a heavy-duty, mobile platform for transporting and dispensing multiple reels of electrical wire and cable directly at the jobsite. Designed as the foundation of a complete Parallel Reel Payout system, these trailers allow contractors and electrical crews to preload the cable required for a project, tow the equipment to the installation location, and begin cable pulls from a centralized mobile platform. This helps reduce material handling and provides an efficient solution for demanding commercial, industrial and utility cable installations.

Each PRP Trailer is equipped with either two or three mounted turntables, depending on the model. Parallel Reel Payout units can be mounted to these rotating bases and configured with the reel arrangements required for the application. The turntables provide 360-degree positioning, allowing operators to rotate the payout equipment toward different conduit runs or cable-pull locations without repeatedly repositioning the entire trailer.

PRP Trailers are particularly useful for parallel cable pulls and projects requiring multiple cable sizes or conductors. Individual reel compartments can be controlled so crews can dispense the cable needed for a particular pull while other compartments remain secured. Multiple cables can also be paid out simultaneously when the application requires it. This versatility makes the system well suited for electrical contractors, data centers, industrial facilities, utilities, infrastructure projects and other large-scale electrical installations.

Three trailer configurations are available to accommodate different capacity and jobsite requirements. The PRP-TRL-14 is a compact 14-foot trailer with two mounted turntables and an 11,900 lb payload. The PRP-TRL-22 increases the platform to 22 feet, provides three turntables and offers an 11,100 lb payload. For the most demanding applications, the PRP-TRL-24 is a heavy-duty 24-foot deckover trailer featuring three turntables, a 32,000 lb GVWR and a substantial 26,000 lb payload capacity.

With rugged construction, high payload capacities and multiple trailer sizes, Parallel Reel Payout Trailers create a versatile cable-handling system that can be configured around the requirements of individual projects. The 14-foot and 22-foot versions feature a low 24-inch deck height and adjustable 2-5/16-inch ball couplers, while the heavy-duty 24-foot deckover model has a 32-inch deck height and adjustable pintle hitch. Parallel Reel Payout units and reel configurations are selected separately, allowing the overall system to be customized for specific cable sizes, quantities and pulling requirements.
