What is the difference between a mobile and a portable slit coil rack, or a stationary slit coil rack? The mobile slit coil rack is designed to be moved around your warehouse or manufacturing facility with a forklift BUT it must be empty of coils when transported. The portable slit coil rack has rigid posts and can be transported while at the same time loaded with slit coils. The stationary slit coil rack is exactly what it sound like, a floor mounted rack that is not designed to be moved.
Mobile slit coil racks have fork pockets in the base of the rack that allow you to lift and move them with a forklift truck. You can easily move them wherever they are needed. This allows you to increase handling efficiency of slit coils in your warehouse. Slit coils are stored vertically in the slit coil rack so that they are easily accessible. Load and unload these racks with greater efficiency. Increase storage density by getting racks off the floor and into a slit coil rack system. The mobile slit coil rack is designed to handle slit coils that are 34″ – 72″ in diameter. That gives you tremendous flexibility in storing slit coils in a variety of different sizes. Better organize your slit coils by storing them in a mobile slit coil rack. The posts are adjustable which allows you to store coils of different thicknesses in the same rack. Since slit coils are tall and narrow you are not able to store them 2-3 high in a traditional coil rack system with cradles. The floor mounted stationary, mobile or portable slit coil rack are your best option.
