Lower Prices for Larger Quantities

We can custom design our wire decking to have heavy gauge steel top plates and additional support bars placed just under the feet of your containers to safely support point loads and prevent damage to your decking. Keep in mind these wire decks are ALL custom manufactured so we can make them any size you want and we can configure the support bars wherever they are needed.

Heavy duty wire decking with steel top plates is a product born of necessity. We receive many calls from customers telling us that the feet of their containers destroyed their wire decking. Not to mention point loading can cause dangerous deck failure. They’re looking for a reasonably priced solution to this problem. Extra Heavy Duty Wire Decking with special steel strip top plates prevent damage caused by the feet of wire baskets. BUT the feet of the wire baskets MUST be supported by both the Steel Top Plate and channel supports underneath.

Bar grate decking is the heaviest duty alternative but it comes at a much high price. We set out to find a solution and came up with the idea to increase the capacity of wire decking by adding extra supports, tightening and thickening the mesh and adding a steel top plate to guard against damage caused by feet of bins crushing the wire mesh.

Finally a company is supplying wire mesh decking that is built extra strong with 6 steel channel supports, heavy 2″ x 4″ x 5 GA wire mesh and on top of that were adding 2 – 8″ wide x 52″ wide x 2MM steel plates that run left to right on both the front and back of the rack wire decking that is designed to support the feet of a standard 40″ x 48″ wire mesh container.

For instance the 8″ x 52″ steel plates will give you the flexibility of moving the baskets from right to left while having the confidence in knowing that the feet of the baskets will be supported by a plate of thick steel. This 2mm steel plate along with the 6-8 – 14 GA steel “step” style channel supports give the decking the strength to handle point load of standard 40″ deep x 48″ wide wire basket.

Heavy duty rack wire decking with wire basket support strips is the perfect accessory to wire containers. They allow you the flexibility of storing BOTH pallets and wire baskets in your rack. You don’t need to add steel runners to the bottom of your baskets to help amortize and distribute the weight. The strength is in the heavy duty wire decking and steel plates that are situated under the baskets feet.

Until the competition tries to imitate us (the best form of flattery) we are currently the only suppliers offering special heavy duty wire decking with 2 MM thick top plates for handling point loading associated with feet of wire or steel containers coming in contact with wire mesh.

IMPORTANT NOTES: WIRE BASKETS MUST BE STORED 40″ DEEP X 48″ WIDE IN RACK (48″ GATE SIDE FACING THE AISLE). YOU CANNOT STORE 2 – 48″ WIDE BASKETS ON A 96″ BEAM. YOU MUST HAVE A 108″ BEAM TO MAKE THIS WORK. AS A SAFETY PRECAUTION WE RECOMMEND CUSTOMER TEK SCREW WIRE DECKING WITH SHEET METAL SCREWS PLACED THROUGH CHANNEL SUPPORTS INTO STEP BEAM TO SECURE THEM IN PLACE AND PREVENT THEM FROM FALLING OUT.
