All of our corrugated steel containers can be supplied with a removable steel lid. Removable steel lids are an accessory to our corrugated steel containers. They help prevent dust, dirt and debris from getting on stored parts.
Corrugated steel containers with removable lids help prevent pilferage while containers are stored and in transit. We can also offer corrugated steel containers with hinged or lockable lids. The only downside to removable lids is that they may get misplaced.
Removable lids for our corrugated steel containers is an easy accessory to supply. Please keep in mind that they are not in stock and must be manufactured. But that is also the case with our corrugated steel containers. We offer 18 standard sizes both with and without drop gates and it would be too difficult to store each and every size.
TIP FROM THE PRO’S:
Unfortunately, we cannot add a hinged lid or any locking mechanism after the fact, we do not recommend any type of bolt on hinge for our standard style containers.
We can only do loose lids with no locking mechanism but the weights of each lid would be considerable heavy and hard to handle:

These lids offer no protection from the elements; they are simply loose tops, as shown below. If you would like a quote, please let us know. Keep in mind that larger lids may be less sturdy. We don’t specialize in lid production and lack the fabrication techniques for making lightweight lids.
