If you are in the market for a corrugated steel container that has a flat bottom panel look no further. We have a solution. We can add sheets of flat smooth steel over the existing corrugated steel bottom panel of our standard steel containers giving you strength and a solid smooth bottom deck.

The problem with having a smooth bottom panel alone is that flat steel is not as strong as corrugated steel. The ridges of a corrugated steel panel give it lots of strength. If we removed the corrugated steel bottom and just added a flat piece of sheet metal it would require lots of steel tubing base supports as reinforcement which would drive up the cost. The cost effective solution is to keep the corrugated steel bottom panel for strength and support and add a layer of flat smooth steel on top.

As far as the smooth bottom/flat bottom steel container, we just add a two-piece 13ga smooth overlay on top of the corrugated bottom. This will only add less than an 1/8” to inside height and we know the integrity is still there and we will not have to re-deign it with all new bottom supports and thicker bottom, thus keeping it standard which helps on price and lead time.
