Heavy Duty Security Cart (SEC) | Lockable Industrial Storage Cart
Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable powder coat finish, the Security Cart is designed for applications where conventional light-duty mesh carts may not provide sufficient strength or security. The steel doors can be secured with a padlock to help deter unauthorized access and theft. Doors open a full 180 degrees for convenient loading and unloading, while pull handles and flip latches make the cart easy to access during normal operations. Magnets positioned at the top and bottom of the frame assist with door retention.
Inside the cart, adjustable rigid steel shelves provide flexible storage for tools, maintenance supplies, replacement parts and other materials of varying sizes. Depending on the model, carts are supplied with one or two adjustable shelves. Standard 2,000 lb. capacity models feature shelves rated for up to 500 lbs. each, while the heavier 5,000 lb. capacity models feature shelves rated for up to 1,000 lbs. each. Available usable storage capacities range from approximately 38 to 60 cubic feet.
Mobility is another important advantage of the Heavy Duty Security Cart. Standard carts are equipped with two swivel casters with brakes, two rigid casters and a push bar, allowing workers to reposition the cart around a facility or job site. Models are available with either 6″ or 8″ phenolic casters depending on capacity. For applications involving heavier loads or longer transport distances, optional fork pockets and lifting eyes can be added to simplify movement with material handling equipment.
Heavy Duty Security Carts can also be customized for specialized industrial applications. Available options include custom dimensions and capacities, additional shelves, fork pockets, lifting eyes, tow kits, rooftop storage racks, stacking adapters, tie-down points, pull-out drawers, cable payout systems, power strips and custom caster configurations. Custom powder coat colors and laser-cut logos are also available. These options make the SEC an excellent choice for creating a secure mobile tool crib, maintenance cart, equipment storage station or job-site storage system tailored to your operation.
