BTC Battery Transfer Carriage
The BTC Battery Transfer Carriage removes, installs, and transports industrial forklift batteries across warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants. Featuring a 3,000 lb. (1,360 kg) load capacity, the BTC transfers batteries between lift trucks, charging stations, and storage racks.
Operators can select from four drive and lift configurations: powered extraction with powered lift, manual extraction with powered lift, powered extraction with manual lift, or manual extraction with manual lift. Facilities can match the level of powered assistance directly to their battery-changing volume and operational requirements.
Powered models utilize a 12 VDC electrical system and a hydraulic pump to drive battery movement and adjust roller-bed service height. Select powered-extraction models accommodate an optional vacuum system, while all configurations use a hook-and-chain attachment system to secure batteries during transfer.
The BTC accommodates standard battery sizes, offering roller widths of 18, 24, and 30 inches. Depending on the specific model, the carriage holds batteries measuring 25 to 39.75 inches long, up to 29 inches wide, and at least 20 inches high. An adjustable roller bed aligns with varying forklift compartment heights and battery racks.
The BTC reduces manual battery handling for both low-volume changing areas and high-volume material handling facilities. Matching the carriage width and drive configuration to existing batteries and forklift fleets optimizes battery room operations.
