We can’t stress this enough… standard pallet rack and wire decking with powder coat paint finish WILL RUST when subjected to the elements. Tip from the Pro’s II: Don’t be fooled. There are some companies out there that are selling wire decking with an “Electro-Galvanized” finish. This is not the same as a hot dipped galvanized finish. Wire decking with a shiny electro-galvanized finish will not withstand the elements and will certainly rust.
