Our pallet rack spacers and protectors act as front to back flue space protectors that attach to the pallet rack upright frame instead of the beam. There are two distinct flue space areas in pallet rack: one that is behind the rack and runs behind the pallets and the other is the side flue space – Both must be protected.
The pallet rack flue space protector keeps pallets a safe distance away from one another allowing for proper air flow in case of a fire. The Front to Back flue space protector as shown on this page attaches to the vertical uprights frame of pallet rack system. It maintains a consistent flue space between pallets stored in pallet rack. Along with Punch Deck or Rain Deck 50% open pallet rack decking, rack spacers keep flue spaces open a recommended 3″ and keeps palletized products out of the racks transverse flue spaces.
