Whether you call it a coil ram or a forklift coil lifter, it’s designed to handle and store coiled materials!
Fork mounted coil rams are used to pick up slit coils and master coils and place them in coil racks. These forklift attachments for lifting can be used to easily lift and carry many types of coiled material. Unless you have an overhead crane coil rams for forklifts are a necessity if you are handling and storing coils.
Coil rams & lifters come in class II carriage mount and fork mount options. The fork mounted coil ram is my far our most popular model. Forklift coil lifters come in a variety of sizes and capacities. Lengths from 24″ to 60″ and capacities from 3,000 up to 5,500 LBS.
The coil ram & lifter can be ordered with either a 4-1/2″ or 5-9/16″ diameter ram poles. The fork mounted coil lifter has 7-1/2″ wide x 2-1/2″ high (usable) form pockets. The carriage mounted rug rams have a spring loaded locking pin to secure it to the carriage. Both models are constructed of steel and have a high quality blue powder coat paint finish.
TIP FROM THE PRO’S: Thers is roughly 17” from the top of the ram to the bottom of the sleeves. Use that to determine if there is enough room to support your coil diameter.
