Aluminum shelving systems come in 3 styles: Heavy duty shelf (C1836-HD) with bars that run from left to right, T-Bar shelf (C1836-TB) with bars that run front to back and solid shelf (1836S). You will find that T-Bar shelf (-TB) allows you to easier slide boxes on and off the shelf because T-bars run from front to back of shelf.
