With 50% open being all the rage in the decking industry we are happy to introduce the new perforated rack deck channels that give you the affordability, flexibility, durability of perforated steel decking. The 11-1/2″ wide channels that simply drop into your standard 1-5/8″ pallet rack step beam. Put as many wide as necessary to give yourself full shelf coverage. After perforated steel decking channels are installed, you will have a 50 percent open decking that you will be proud of.
Durable perforated channel decks are similar to our solid smooth steel decking product but it has been punched to allow the flow of air, light or water. This style of decking is often required by local municipalities and their Fire Marshalls. In many cases it can help reduce insurance rates. The obvious advantage to perforated steel decking is that it allows water from overhead sprinklers better coverage in case of a fire.
These perforated steel decking channels may not be the heaviest perforated rack decking that we offer, BUT they are an affordable solution for many bulk shelving applications. The 11-1/2″ plank width gives you flexibility of spacing them in the places that you need them. You can give yourself full or partial coverage as need. And of course perforated steel decking channels are offered in standard 36″, 42″ and 48″ shelf depths that are designed to fit in your existing pallet racking.
