They are designed specifically for the foundry industry. This heavy steel box has corrugated sides which equal strength.
Our foundry boxes have many great features that make them ideal for storing hot and heavy parts. Corrugated side panels for extra strength, 1/4″ plate steel reinforced bottom panels resist damage from dropped parts, and perforated holes in the sides of the container help dissipate the heat of hot steel parts helping to cool the parts down quicker. Steel foundry tubs are often unpainted, raw steel as to not contaminate parts with paint chips as paint cannot withstand the beating of heavy hot steel parts.
