Record storage rack utilizes teardrop pallet racking. It’s the heaviest duty banker’s box storage rack option we offer and allows you to store more boxes by going taller and wider than your average archive shelving unit. Banker’s box storage shelves are typically used by larger companies who have lots of record storage boxes. It is also used by record storage companies like Iron Mountain.

Record boxes can be heavy, so you don’t want to use just any storage shelving system. Our teardrop pallet rack is known for its durability and quality. For the record, you get high quality at a low price!

Why use a pallet rack for banker’s box storage? Why not just stack the boxes in an empty room? Although that seems like a way to save money, it will cost you in time or possibly safety. If you need to retrieve a box that’s in the middle of the stack, you’ll have to spend time moving all the boxes on top. You also run the risk of the boxes toppling over and potentially causing an accident. It’s not worth it!

Our banker’s box storage shelves make it easy to quickly find files as needed. You’re able to view the front and can easily label each box. The design makes it easy to remove the desired boxes.

Many of the larger record storage companies construct pick modules using a stairwell and catwalk system that offers them multiple levels of record storage. Often companies will put their record storage racks in security cages that are constructed of wire mesh partitions.

Record storage rack utilizes teardrop selective pallet rack can have a variety of decking options including: wood decking (which you would provide yourself), wire decking or corrugated metal decks. Corrugated decks are the most popular decking option for larger record storage companies because it has a smooth flat surface that is great for loading boxes on and off a shelf. These banker’s box storage racks also don’t leave indentations on the bottom of the boxes that occurs when storing boxes on wire decking.
