Some applications just requires a solid steel pallet rack decking. When you are storing small, heavy, non-flammable loads on pallet rack lower priced lighter duty wire mesh decking may not do the job. That is when we offer our heavy duty solid smooth pallet rack decking that just drops down into the standard 1-5/8″ step beam of your pallet rack system. Unlike solid corrugated decking that has valleys, our solid steel decking has a smooth surface and gets it’s strength from channel supports that are welded to the bottom. The 1-5/8″ thick solid steel deck panel sets into your step beam and flanges just slightly over the front and back of your beam keeping beams from bowing and providing extra support for heavy applications.
Turn your pallet rack into a super heavy duty steel shelving system with our solid steel pallet rack decking. We have replaced the wire mesh and replaced it with a sheet of solid steel. You still get the channel supports but in turn you get a smooth sliding surface that is ideal for sliding boxes on and off the shelf.
NOTE: You should check Fire Marshall’s codes in your area that may prohibit use of solid decking that would reduce output of sprinklers in case of a fire. Some Municipalities, Fire Marshall’s and insurance companies want you to use 50% open pallet rack decking.
