Let’s say you have a Foundry and you store heavy steel parts and the baskets get damaged by your forklift drivers, what are you to do? Well, we have a solution.
Introducing our custom heavy duty collapsible wire containers. What makes them heavy duty you ask? Well, they have a special reinforced base, double reinforced wire mesh sides panels and bottom. Our heavy duty collapsible wire baskets have standard or heavy duty feet with steel gussets and .39″ flat or steel angle runners which help prevent feet from bending, twisting or breaking upon impact.
The words “heavy duty” are thrown around a lot these days. Yes, our heavy duty collapsible wire container with reinforced base and double wire mesh side panels has more capacity than our standard collapsible wire basket BUT the advantage to this custom heavy duty wire container has more to do with durability than strength.
Our special heavy duty collapsible wire containers have all of the great features you’ve come to love including: 4,000 LBS capacity, stackability, collapsibility, drop gate for easy ergonomic access to stored products and galvanized finish. The only difference is that they are built to take a beating and last longer than our (or anyone else’s) standard collapsible wire containers. And that is saying something because:

New Features Added to Heavy Duty Collapsible Wire Containers:
Reinforced base with additional tubular support bars.
Special 6.5mm wire thickness (Thicker than standard 2GA wire mesh)
Double wire mesh side panels (special double wire placement in some areas, not all).
Gussets added to the feet.
Steel Runners added to the feet.
This adds roughly 40 LBS of additional steel to the weight of a standard basket making it more robust.
Combined these features make container more durable, more damage resistant, longer lasting than standard collapsible wire baskets.
What motivated us to develop this new wire basket? We had a customer who operate a steel foundry and he was destroying his wire baskets. He requested that we ask the Engineers at the factory to improve the robustness of the collapsible baskets he had been purchasing. This is what they came up with. The customer is very satisfied and says he has experienced less damage to the baskets.
