Wire baskets / wire containers can include optional fork pockets (AKA fork tunnels or fork tubes). Fork tunnels are the ultimate safety feature that can be added to wire baskets at time of manufacturing.
Fork tunnels are designed to keep the basket firmly secured to the forks of a forklift. The forks of a forklift enter the fork tunnels and lift. The forklift pockets are spaced properly to ensure that the basket is correctly supported and properly balanced when lifted and transported by the forks of a forklift
By default fork tunnels are added to the widest sides of the container. For ease of access it is better if forklift enters from the widest side of the basket. We can provide 2 way fork tubes which run in one direction to 4 way fork tubes which run in both directions. 4-way fork tunnels are considerably more expensive because they require that we laser cut holes.
