Edge of Dock levelers are what you use when you don’t have the dock traffic to justify the cost of adding a mechanical dock leveler…or when you just don’t want to spend the money!
Manual dock levelers are attached to the edge of your dock and don’t require that pits be cut into the concrete. They are far less expensive than mechanical dock levelers and are quite a bit less expensive to install.
Our mechanical edge-of-dock leveler model FM-2072 is the most popular edge-of dock in it’s class. Edge of docks are great if you don’t load a lot of trucks. If you do load a lot of trucks each day than you should invest in a pit leveler.
Edge of dock levelers are easy to pull out and bridge the gap between the edge of your dock and the back of the trailer. They are safe for both hand truck, pallet jack and forklift traffic.
Manual dock levelers are recommended for the safe loading and unloading of trailers by forklifts on a loading dock!
