If you want a rigid wire container but the standard 2″ x 2″ mesh pattern on side panels is too big you may want to consider a rigid steel container with perforated metal sides. Some of our customers have small parts that they are storing in the baskets and they need a tighter mesh on the sides. Wire mesh in less than 2″ x 2″ pattern is costly and also hard to find in a sufficient thickness that is durable.
Rigid Steel Containers with Perforated steel side panels is a durable and affordable option for containing small parts. Although solid corrugated steel containers are the least expensive option many companies are having to go with bulk containers that have 50% or greater openings for fire safety. This is often mandated by their insurance companies.
A rigid steel container is great for bulk and its perforated steel sides gives you strength, durability and long lasting performance. These perforated metal boxes are designed to handle heavy industrial applications. Commonly used in the automotive industry for storing and transporting metal component parts. These have a heavy steel bottom panel that can take a beating. Metal foundries have been known to drop heavy metal castings into the bottom of these rigid steel bins without causing damage.
