Our overhead door safety device prevents accidents!
Do you have garage door, roll up door, dock door or any overhead door that slides down unexpectedly? Maybe their just worn out and the rollers and brake mechanism don’t work. How do you prevent the heavy roll up doors from collapsing on someone’s head and causing serious injury?
Injuries from sliding dock doors are more prevalent then you would imagine. We have an affordable patented solution to prevent such accidents from happening. introducing garage and dock door safety arms that easily pivot in and out of the opening. We have both manual, automatic and very basic options.
Custom Engineered Machine has developed a Garage Door Safety Device (patent pending) to protect your employee from having an overhead door injury. There are 20,000 – 30,000 garage door accidents each year. These overhead garage door accidents include severed fingers and limbs, bodily trauma, and even death. Garage doors have been known to free fall once they have been opened, which resulted in severe head trauma to the employee.
Manual Dock Door Safety Arms:
This manual system comes with (2) safety arms (yellow part), one for each side of garage door. Each arm is mounted to a solid structure near garage door using the (2) mounting brackets per arm (black part). Garage door is opened high enough so the arms can clear. The arms are then manually unlocked and swung into place under the garage door. They are locked in place to prevent moving. Once both arms are in place, the garage door can be lowered to the height of the safety arm.
Each arm comes with a limit switch so it can be connected to your existing automatic garage door opener. As a result, when the garage door is closed onto the safety arms, the garage door will trip the limit switches and automatically stop the garage door from closing. The simple wiring into your current automatic garage door opener can be done by your maintenance department using the supplied detailed instructions or can be quoted as an option. Includes red/ green light safety indictor lights. (*Requires electricity be brought to unit)
Automatic Dock Door Safety Arms:
This automatic system is the same as the manual system except instead of the arms being manually moved in/out of position, they are connected to an electric cylinder to move the arms in/out automatically. The cylinders attached to the arms are connected to a switch to operate the arms with one push of a button. (*Requires electricity be brought to unit)
Very Basic Dock Door Safety Arms: Same as Manual Dock Door Safety Arms but without the green or red light indicators. (*This option doesn’t require electricity.)
