Are you looking for a good deal on used metal shelving? Maybe 18″ x 36″ or 24″ x 48″? We got it in spades!! I’m talking our current inventory has over 400 shelves of 24″ x 48″ and over 1000 shelves of 18″ x 36″. Those are the most popular steel warehouse shelving sizes. And in regards to height, typical shelving or post height is 85″ but we have 16′ tall posts that we can cut down to just about any size.

Used metal shelving for backrooms, garages or warehouses is our specialty. We have a variety of shelving styles including steel shelving, boltless rivet shelving, wide span shelving, bulk shelving, bin shelving, record shelving and heavy duty pallet shelving. All of our used industrial shelving is in good condition and offered at relatively low prices. In other words we don’t sell junk. If the steel warehouse shelving has spots of surface rust or labels we will bring that to your attention. We will provide pictures of the shelving before you order it to make sure it meets your approval. We want to establish a long term business relationship with you and won’t make you look bad by sending you damaged or rusty shelving.

Let’s talk about the components that make us an industrial shelving unit – we’ll call it Shelving 101. Used metal shelving comes in open or closed styles. Closed shelving includes back and side panels. A shelving unit consists of corners posts, shelves, shelf clips (or nuts & bolts) and X-bracing. X-bracing for the back of the shelving unit is not required and not supplied for every shelf unit. Just so we are all on the same page, Shelving consists of units or sections that are joined together to create rows.

No matter how many times you tell your employees to not step on the bottom shelf to reach for a box on the top shelf, they will probably do it. It may be a good idea to add a heavier duty bottom shelf that will withstand that pressure and not get damaged. Metal shelving comes in a variety of gauges and capacities. The edges of steel shelving can either be flanged or boxed. What I’m saying is not all shelving is built the same. It’s also offered in a variety of different colors from gray, beige/tan, green and even white.
