The 4″ high V-nose post protector works as an aisle deflector to protect against forklift damage caused by stand up reach trucks.
This is ideal for protecting pallet rack upright frames from damage incurred by lift trucks in narrow aisle applications. The V-nose steel post protector includes an anchor that is installed through the bull nose into the concrete floor. V-nose warehouse rack guards prevent damage from outriggers of reach trucks in narrow aisle applications.
The 4″ V-nose protector will increase the longevity of your pallet rack and save you from the costly expense of replacing damaged uprights. Steel post protectors are mounted in front of the upright frame and act as a barrier that deflects forks or outriggers from damaging your rack.
Narrow aisle pallet rack utilizes narrow aisle forklift trucks. These narrow aisle forklifts operate in a small aisle and have outriggers that can destroy your pallet rack. Many customers with narrow aisle applications will use a 108″ beam and add a bottom beam level to keep the upright columns out of harms way. The 4″ V-nose post protector is specially designed for narrow aisle applications.
These warehouse rack guards mount directly to front of upright columns, to provide increased impact resistance. They help prevent rack damage. 4″ V nose post protectors are typically used to protect all interior upright columns all the way down the aisle. The ends of rows are protected by 12″ column protectors. These columns are the most susceptible to damage from forklifts. Steel post protectors are offered in 4 sizes: 4″ V-Nose Deflectors, 12″, 18″ and 24″ high post protectors. Post protectors have enlarged foot plates at the bottom with (4) pre-drilled holes for concrete anchor bolts.
We stock both V-nose protectors that anchor to the floor in front of your upright frame. We offer a 24″ high bolt-on post protector with a bull nose that anchors to the floor. We also provide end-of-aisle protectors that reduce damage to the most vulnerable part of your rack system – the ends of aisles. We stock steel angle floor guides and guard rail that anchor to your concrete floor.
Experienced warehouse managers have learned that the initial investment in pallet rack protection will pay off many times over in the reduction of rack damage. The cost of replacing a damaged upright can exceed $1000 when you figure in the overtime pay to have the racks unloaded, disassembled, replaced and reloaded. You cannot afford not to have column protectors on your pallet racks.
Special Notes: Please let us know if your pallet rack’s beam level is inches off the floor, or if your uprights have enlarged footplates. Standard column guards are designed to fit around a 3-1/2″ wide footplate and will NOT fit around uprights with enlarged footplates. We stock column guards designed for uprights with enlarged seismic foot plates. Pallet racks with beam levels inches off the floor require column protectors that are notched in the back.
